WEEK 9

We enjoyed another nice and pleasant 7 days…

Monday we visited boarding school in Hoptrup. We gained a lot of new knowledge. The pupils in this art school were very open-minded, free and creative. The atmosphere was marked by friendships and conviviality. I think the photos say everything. We finished our trip at 6 p.m. at the Haderslev bus station, but nobody regretted it.

On Thusday in the morning we had our module 7 for a first time. Kate, Iva, Daniel and me, we chose English lessons with Jette, Charlotte chose music in Danish and Tim and Manu chose PE. It was a nice change; we could meet many another Danish students. We saw Monica and Carsten again. In our first lesson, we were talking about USA, their main symbols. In the afternoon, we had a very funny and nice Danish lesson. We learnt a lot of new words, only substantives. We played with cards in 2 groups. We tried to guess how are the things on the cards called and so on. In the evening we were finishing our project with Kate for next day for the lesson Aesthetic learning processes.

Fleming Rasmussen was waiting for us on the Wednesday morning. He told us how can art and aesthetics influence the learning processes…After him Else Marie’s lessons came. We performed our project live. I think it was really interesting to observe how the others are good in acting. In the afternoon we went to the gym.

special for you...Iva and Sylvie: Maculela

Thursday was very long and exciting day. In the morning we were talking about our Monday visit at boarding school with Torbjorn. We contrasted the differences between our school system and Danish school system. In the afternoon we had 2 and half English lessons, we learnt a song, played with USA map, we talked about American values and symbols again etc. In the evening three of us went to say good-bye to Finja and Borries, I was working on my thesis, Charlotte, Iva and Manu were tired. Really hard day.

Friday morning was about citizenship and globalism again. We were talking about our school systems and how to educate students to become active citizens in these dimensions: political and identity. And the main question of the day was what challenges do we consider to be some of the biggest today and how would we solve them…In the afternoon it was another Danish lesson. We tried to make up some simple sentences. In the evening we visited Friday café, just for chatting and drinking cheap beer.

Everybody except me went to Germany to shop for drinks and food on Saturday. At the weekend I was working on my thesis and doing other things for our lessons, and I cleaned up our flat.
